JOB SUMMARY

The Pennines Cluster seeks an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative Cluster Marketing Executive to be accountable for supporting the integrated strategies designed to position its hotels competitively with a strong focus on demand generation, brand-strong guest experiences and creative engagement that drives loyalty.

The position reports directly into the Cluster Director of Sales with a dotted line into the Director of Marketing Provinces. This role will be expected to be a strong team player within the wider Cluster Team, the hotel teams within the Cluster and the UK & Ireland Area Marketing Team.

Objective:

The Cluster Marketing Executive will be accountable for the execution of the Cluster marketing activity, including management of the annual marketing plan, executing advertising campaigns and promotions, and supporting local pull through of assets and activation packs, for above- and on-property marketing.

Candidate Profile

Professional attributes, skills & experience:

2-3 years in a devoted hotel marketing role or relevant marketing experience.

Experience in leisure marketing and brand partnerships.

Excellent command of the English language - both written & spoken.

A natural and proven ability with social media, especially Facebook, LinkedIn Instagram

A good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Good communication and presentational skills.

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred in marketing and communication.

Core Work Activities

Work with the Cluster team and Hotel Sales Leaders to support with the development and execution of a Cluster marketing plan to support the business objectives of the Cluster, including promotions, branding, media campaigns, partnership activity and individual property support

Manage the development and execution of Cluster marketing activity on a national, regional and local level, including an annual calendar of marketing activity and property level activation plans, briefing, budget setting, creative and execution development, media planning, and reporting

Responsible for ensuring the local activation and pull through of all centrally developed marketing initiatives for transient leisure, meetings and events, golf and fitness, and food and beverage at a Cluster and local property level including implementing digital and physical activation items

Work with the Senior Marketing Manager Golf & Fitness to support in the development and activation of Fitness marketing initiatives

Work with the Senior Marketing Manager Food & Beverage to support development and activation of Food & Beverage marketing initiatives, particularly ensuring core concepts are being upheld from a brand perspective

Provide the Cluster with updates on current and planned marketing activity, gain feedback on hotel requirements

Manage all Cluster collateral production requirements, including brochures and presentations, responsible for providing on and above property sales teams with all customer facing assets and providing marketing support for sales driving initiatives

Support Cluster and hotel presence at sales blitz activity, trade shows, sales missions, fayres, open days and customer events

Responsible for executing Marriott Rewards activity on behalf of allocated cluster

Cluster Hotel Support:

Responsible for ensuring hotel activation packs for all marketing activity are activated to ensure campaigns are pulled through to a property level on time, on brand and with maximum impact.

Provide support and guidance to the hotels and/or associated third parties (agencies / freelancers) for activating social media channels, including providing content calendars, reviewing proposed property social media campaigns, reviewing audits of social media channels in partnership with MDS, and approving the implementation of new social media channels.

Provide support and guidance to the hotels for activating public relations opportunities on behalf of the Cluster when opportunities arise and ensuring the correct procedures are followed with the regional PR agency.

Play a supporting role during property photo shoots, including ensuring brand photographic guidelines are adhered to, guidance on use of the photography playbook, and photography audits

Support all hotel collateral production requirements, including brochures and presentations, including auditing collateral usage and suite of collateral and recommending required collateral.

Support the Cluster Director of Sales and Director of Marketing Provinces with regular hotel marketing audits and action outcomes

Assist with hotel marketing planning, providing tools and resources for effective marketing planning

Responsible for providing marketing support for properties undergoing renovation including managing marketing critical path and pre, during and post communications plans

Manage BrandWorks usage, including creation and approval of collateral and landing page creation, and manage assets contained within MDAM system

Support with BrandVoice roll outs and questions, including usage and implementation, monitoring MOPPS usage

Manage local hotel email tool usage and execution, including reporting on usage and quality of content
